Meet Mackenzie (she/her)
✨ Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. Diet culture dropout.
Hi, I’m Mackenzie—an intuitive eating dietitian who believes food should be joyful, nourishing, and never come with a side of guilt. I help women break free from the exhausting cycle of dieting and rediscover trust in their bodies—no more chasing “willpower” or trying to shrink yourself into someone else’s version of health.
Around here, we focus on progress, not perfection. I believe your body is worthy of care exactly as it is, and that healing your relationship with food can be a powerful act of rebellion and self-compassion. If you’re craving a kinder, more sustainable way forward, you’re in the right place.

Why I Do This Work
I didn’t always know I’d end up as an eating disorder recovery dietitian in Rhode Island. At one point, I thought I’d be a therapist—but that dream felt “not good enough” in the eyes of others. So I followed my passion for food and went to culinary school instead.
But something was still missing.
I didn’t just want to make beautiful meals—I wanted to help people feel safe with food. I wanted to be the kind of person someone could talk to about the hard stuff: the shame, the guilt, the “I’m doing everything right, but I still feel out of control” moments.
My first job as a dietitian introduced me to Intuitive Eating, eating disorder care, and Health at Every Size®. It was a turning point. These frameworks challenged everything I’d been taught—and helped me find a more compassionate, human-centered way to support my clients. I realized I didn’t have to push weight loss to help people feel better. In fact, I could do a whole lot more without it.
What I Believe
I believe your relationship with food says more about your history than your willpower.
I believe you deserve to feel at peace in your body, even if the world hasn’t caught up to that yet.
I believe nutrition counseling should be collaborative, not prescriptive.
I believe in honoring lived experience, cultural connection, and the full spectrum of what nourishes us.
I believe this work is about so much more than food—it’s about freedom.
Who I Work With
Most of the folks I work with are women in their 20s to 40s who are tired of fighting their bodies and just want to feel normal around food again. Whether you’re stuck in binge-restrict cycles, dealing with a long history of dieting, or recovering from an eating disorder—I’m here to help.
I offer virtual nutrition counseling from my practice in Rhode Island and work with clients across the state and beyond. I’m in-network with several insurance plans and always keep accessibility in mind.
If you’re looking for a non-diet nutrition counselor, a certified intuitive eating dietitian in Rhode Island, or just someone who gets it—you’re in the right place.
